Week 1 - Introduction and Creating Movement

Week 2 - Controlling Movement

Week 3 - Have some fun this week. Design your own sprite and make it DANCE!     Lesson 1     Lesson 2     Lesson 3

Week 4 - Let's have a look at creating a basic PONG game.

Week 5 - Now you need to get started planning your own original game using Scratch. Use this PACKMAN model to help you get started. Make sure you remember to get the planning sheet from me to help complete this task.

Week 6-7 - Now you are on your own. Using all of the information you have about Scratch, create your own original game. Your game needs to have at least the following components. You may have more than the required but for the purposes of this task, you must be able to show the following:

  • at least 2 sprites
  • 1 sprite must be imported from an outside source or be one that you have created yourself
  • an appropriate background for your game's theme that you have either created yourself or adapted in some way
  • a scoring system
  • user interaction. Do you need some simple written instructions for how to play the game?

These video tutorials may be helpful in creating your game.  Videos from MIT

Give your game a creative name!

GOOD LUCK!
