Teachers, here you will find many of the links we talk about in staff meetings as well as others I find or am given by colleagues. Please let me know if there is anything you think should be included here.

  

LITERACY:

Wordle - Wordle is an online tool for generating word clouds from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

All teaching staff can create an account to enable them to use this great resource with students. There is the option of also setting up a pupil login so individual students can access the activities independently. Great stuff from the UK.

Free Fonts - Fontspace is a community of font designers and font addicts. All 10095 free typefaces that you can download have been hand-categorized for insertion into your graphic design, scrapbooking or documents.

Free Clipart - a great free site designed for use in schools.
